Charoite is a rare and highly ornamental mineral found in Siberia.  It has a silky, fibrous structure resulting in a shimmery looking polished stone.  I was fortunate to obtain a small piece of the material and was excited to make this pendant.

This stone was wrapped with 22 gage Argentium wire, which is a tarnish resistant sterling silver alloy that does not contain nickel.  Some folks are allergic to nickel so I elected to switch to Argentium in addition to its anti-tarnish properties.
